The project helps tourism businesses learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI) in marketing and sales in a responsible and sustainable way. The goal is to enhance their ability to innovate, grow, and succeed in a competitive environment. Additionally, the project strengthens companies’ capacity to utilize data in decision-making and integrate AI into their business operations.
AI relies on processing large amounts of data, also known as big data. Therefore, it is essential to identify what kind of data tourism businesses already have and what information they should start collecting for AI utilization. The amount and quality of data vary between companies, so the first step is to create a report on the existing data. This will help determine which AI techniques are best suited for the company’s needs and how data collection should be developed.
FrostBit investigates the application of AI applications to the tourism industry, starting with mapping the opportunities offered by the applications and extending to improving virtual reality and augmented reality experiences with AI. The comparison examines the benefits and challenges of ready-made AI applications and customizable solutions in the tourism industry. The project will carry out, among other things, benchmarking analyses, the findings of which will be used to prepare a report for publication.
