The project process starts with contact and a meeting where the idea is reviewed. If we determine that it is a suitable cooperation project for the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, we will start furthering the idea together.
There are several funding channels, and they have different application periods each year. The idea presented in November may therefore be possible to send for funding only in the spring of the following year. The projects are prepared in accordance with the principles of the funding channel, for which we offer support, advice and concrete help. Project preparation requires time from the cooperation partner to be involved in the planning.

The project process principles:
From the idea to the start of the project can take, for example, 6 months to 1-1.5 years. Projects usually last 1-3 years. There are several different ways to be involved in the project, which also depend on the funding channel. In regional development projects, companies can participate free of charge in public development and with the De Minimis portion, for example, privately owned piloting, and self-financing if they wish.
You can contact us in many ways, for example by directly contacting the project contact persons or the lab coordinator by email. We can organize brainstorming sessions remotely and on-site meetings on campus. We give concrete examples of ways in which we can create cooperation through projects, events or other activities.
